New product by BBG! This replaces the stock upper timing cover on VW 07K engines with a low profile billet aluminum part for increased hood and firewall clearance. The large oil filler neck is gone, and instead a -10 SAE o-ring boss port on top can be used to fill oil or as a crankcase breather connection. Alternatively, our new valve cover (sold separately) has an optional full size oil fill cap.
The rear coolant flange is fastened using bolts instead of the OE studs to reduce clearance needed for removal with the engine in the car. A -10 SAE ORB plug is included, as well as a new seal for the coolant pipe passthrough, and bolts for the rear coolant flange.
NOTE:
These parts have been hand worked to ensure proper fitment to the cylinder head as well as timing chain clearance. A small section of the outer flange was TIG welded, the profile was re-machined, and then the finished product was sanded and polished. The attached photos show these modifications.
